Shopping

Although you’ll find lots of the chain stores scattered throughout Hot Springs, check out unique and local businesses for something really different.

Hot Springs Farmers Market at 121 Orange Street open Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays seasonally. In addition to the freshest foods around, you’ll discover local honey and jams, locally made soaps, plus lots of handmade crafts to treasure.

Central Avenue Market Place, 4332 Central (Temperance Hill Shopping) with scores of stalls featuring antiques and collectables. It’s a great place to browse and find something special.

EvilO Oils & Vinegars, (olive spelled backwards) at 360 Central Avenue. Great tasting samples. We love the salt blocks for grilling.

Bathhouse Soapery, 366 Central, for every good smelling bath and body product imaginable, made at the store.

The Toy Chest, 348 Central Ave. I run into this store, tell them the age and gender of the child, and within one minute the knowledgeable staff have directed me to the perfect gift.

Lauray’s, the diamond store. 402 Central. If you’re deciding to splurge on that beloved person in your life, go here. When taking jewelry in for repairs, I can’t help but drool over the cases.
