Inn Policies

Although Lookout Point prefers to have very few policies, the following are necessary.

1. Cancellation policy for the inn: with 14 days notice, the deposit is refunded less a $25 cancellation fee. If you must cancel less than 14 days prior to arrival, the full amount for all nights will be charged. If the room nights are re-booked, a credit for a future stay will be given. No refund for early departures. (Unlike a large hotel, Lookout Point has only 10 rooms. Cancellations have a great impact. When your reservation is confirmed, all other requests for that room are turned away.)

2. Cancellation policy for Lakeview Terrace Condo:  with 14 days notice, the deposit is refunded less a $75 cancellation fee. If you must cancel less than 14 days prior to arrival, the full amount for all nights will be charged. If the room nights are re-booked, a credit for a future stay will be given. No refund for early departures. (Unlike a large hotel, Lookout Point has only 1 condo, so cancellations have a great impact. When your reservation is confirmed, all other requests for that room are turned away.)

3. Children age 6 and over are welcome in the inn. Lakeview Terrace condo welcomes families with children of any age.

4. Lookout Point is totally non-smoking environment. Smoking is not permitted anywhere on the property. Guests choosing to smoke must leave the property. Any guest choosing to not honor this No Smoking policy will incur a $250 additional charge.

5. Pet Policy: Guests traveling with dogs are welcome in 3 of the guest rooms (on the first floor). Dogs must meet certain criteria, and prior arrangement with the innkeeper is required. Pet charge is $20 per day, per dog. Dogs are allowed in the guest room and grounds only, not in any commons areas of the inn.
