Dog friendly and luxury in Hot Springs, Arkansas

Jocyce, Sander & Carly
Originally uploaded by lookoutpointinn
Joyce and her beautiful Wheaton Terriers enjoyed a stay at the inn recently. These dogs were so well-behaved, and never barked except once when they saw Pat filling the bird feeders. Sander & Carly are fluffy, loveable, and fun. (Joyce was pretty doggone nice, too.)

Four of the guest rooms are "dog friendly", with doors leading directly outside to the gardens. Every dog guest receives a welcome gift, including treats and a Fido magazine for their reading pleasure. Whenever a dog guest checks into the inn, special room preparations occur (including changing out the bedspread & blankets to the "dog friendly" bedding.)

The entire staff at the inn consider every wedding to be a most special and wonderful event. Truly it is a privilege to host every bride and groom, as they begin their married life in this lovely sanctuary.

New eco-friendly initiative at Lookout Point Lakeside Inn

New environmentally friendly amenities
Originally uploaded by lookoutpointinn
For quite some time, the Lookout Point owners researched alternatives to the small plastic amenity bottles used by inns, B&B's, and hotels around the globe. Those little bottles needlessly become trash in landfills (unable to recycle them, since the product is only partially used.)

At the recent Select Registry trade show, these wall mounted amenity pumps were discovered. The shampoo and conditioner, by Baudelaire, contain all natural ingredients, and no parabens.

Making the change to pump dispensers, replacing the small amenity bottles, will save the landfill from the waste of approximately 4,000 small bottles each year. In addition, the water and petroleum used to manufacturer those little wasteful bottles are reduced.
